pauline in paris

A few months back the fabulous Meghan McSweeney and I teamed up to produce these beautiful images for an Etsy jewelry designer, Pauline in Paris. Some of the necklaces have such a vintage flair with the muted beads and lace details, so I called on my vintage guru Charla Bjostad from Pleiades Bridal Design Studio here in Richmond, Virginia to help me adorn our flawless model.

Aren't those necklaces just divine? Check out the shop to see more eye candy!

We are so grateful that Grey Likes Weddings featured this shoot a few weeks ago, so swing on by to check out more stunning images! Also be sure to meander over to Meghan's blog for all the lovely goodness too.

**Style Me Pretty (eek!) also gave a sweet little shout out to the shoot at the bottom of a beautiful wedding Meghan photographed. Check it out here.

meghan + philip, october 3, 2009

Back in October I had the privilege of working with the most gracious, fun-loving, outgoing couple, Megan and Philip. Still to this day, I have not met another couple who exudes more love and passion than these two people. They are best friends and when you meet them, you know.

They were married right outside Tappahannock, Virginia at the gorgeous Blandfield Plantation. The pictures do not do this stunning, private estate justice. A relatively new wedding venue, I couldn't keep my mouth closed while I toured the multiple acre estate. The gorgeous photography was captured by the oh-so-talented Jennifer Hughes.

Megan wore a stunning Monique Lhuillier gown with an intricate lace and crystal bolero. We stuck to what this gorgeous plantation had to offer with a color palette of mossy green, creams, and pops of various shades of purple. Satin eggplant linens were topped with potted plants and arrangements in eclectic, earthy vases. Guests could kick their feet up in the two chic, modern lounge areas that were created using white drapery and white couches with muted green and purple throws and pillows.

Guests signed fabric squares with notes and advice to the bride and groom, that they have made into a beautiful quilt for their new home in New York. Southern comfort food inspired the reception menu. Champagne Taste Catering provided amazing food stations including mac n'cheese, barbeque and mini sliders. We even brought in an authentic catfish and crabcake fry station that served them up made to order and on the spot hot!

Three different bands took the stage for the night of festivities. The couple walked down the aisle to an authentic bluegrass band, Michele Nixon and the Drive, while Sound Nation took the stage for the reception. Guest's anticipation built for the true-to-roots 80's band, The Breakfast Club, that closed the party with every hairband classic you can remember. We even adorned guests in pure 80's gear--Madonna fish net gloves, sunglasses, glow necklaces, earrings and more!

Ultimately this free-spirited, incredible couple just wanted one big huge BASH and that's what they got! We're excited to say that Completely Unveiled by Weddings Unveiled has featured Megan and Philip's wedding! Mosey on over to their blog and check out more of this amazing wedding!
